𝐂á𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐎-𝐔𝐏𝐕

The Valencian Institute of Dental Research (in Spanish: Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Odontológicas) has, among one of its main functions, the development of an extensive postgraduate program in each of the different areas of dentistry. In this sense, the new needs of the complicated labor market, and the deficiencies in undergraduate training, force the current professional to expand their studies to advance and specialize in one of the facets most in demand by society.

The areas of implantology, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, or labiodental aesthetics include a whole series of treatments that require specific high-quality training that ensures theoretical and, above all, practical knowledge, which enables dentists to face new professional challenges.

The Cátedra IVIO-UPV de la Universitat Politècnica de València offers a series of master's and expert programs, directed by professors of recognized solvency, aimed at the training of dental specialties. It has a clinical and teaching center located in an exclusive building located in the city of Gandia. A building with different spaces intended for our students' clinical practices, their teaching and preclinical training and their moments of study, leisure and rest.

The Institute was created in 2009 with the objective of providing high-quality postgraduate training in the field of dental sciences to oral health professionals. After the consolidation of IVIO as a reference center in the field of teaching and research in dentistry, in 2016 we linked our future to the Universitat Politècnica de València through the creation of the IVIO – UPV. The development of these activities is carried out through the Higher Polytechnic School of Gandia and the Research Institute for integrated management.
